Mesmerizing forest destinations across the world for nature lovers

26 Dec 2024

There was a time when most of the world was covered with greenery and all kinds of animals lived alongside humans, who got everything they needed from the forests. However, as civilizations began as the human populations increased, the trees were chopped down to make room for farms, and the wood was used for purposes old and new. Now most of us live in cities and those in the countryside have their farmlands to attend to. This has disconnected those in urban settings from nature, though they have tried to remind themselves of the old ways of life through parks and forest covers in their cities and towns. Still, there are many who wish to smell the fresh air and hear the sounds of fluttering leaves, for which they will look forward to visiting forested areas when they get a chance.

What kind of adventure are you after?

Governments around the world have realized the threat to the quality of life due to deforestation and have declared a large part of the forested areas as national parks, where no one is allowed to go logging or hunting the wildlife. There are still some forests that humans were not able to reach in developing countries and these make for some good adventures. As for what you will be able to explore here can be divided into 2 categories, firstly the untouched territories where you will have nothing to guide you around and others where you will have cable cars, wooden bridges along with opportunities for zip lining. Apart from the trees, you can expect water bodies too and hilly areas if not mountains. Here we suggest some destinations that will make you one with nature.

Those interested in trekking through the forests are recommended to take guides with them unless you trust the maps you are taking with you and you should find ways of recharging your devices in the middle of dense jungles. There is plenty of wildlife too and you should only get close to those that seem harmless.
