Premier Summer Holiday Destinations in Mexico to Beat the Heat
04 Apr 2024
Most people in the Western world look forward to their annual holidays and most of them will opt for them in summer. This is also the period of the year when the young ones will be off from school for a substantial duration, giving families the opportunity to travel together. In North America, Mexico is popular with those with such plans. One of the reasons is that you don’t need a visa to get there for short trips and the other is that the holidays here are expected to be cheaper than those in their own country. Another reason is the different sights and activities that you will get to be a part of. One thing that may worry you is the airfare, but it is reasonable with a lot of people planning to fly to the same destination.
A country studded with tourism jewels
Mexico has several tourist destinations on its east coast with the Atlantic Ocean, west coast with the Pacific Ocean and there are various destinations in the interior of this country too. You would have heard of the popular summer resorts, but here we list all the resorts that we believe will be of interest to those planning to come here in summer.
Cabo San Lucas
This city is close to the southernmost tip of the state of Baja California Sur, which is itself on a large peninsula. Its closeness to the sea offers opportunities for a variety of water activities including snorkeling. You can catch sailing boats or go for a day cruise and if you are lucky, you will get to see more than a few whales. Seafood is available here in abundance with some items with original recipes. Tolantango
This resort is a recent finding and one for those who want to see thermal springs. There are caves that you can enter and at their gates, there are waterfalls, just like in a fairy tale. You can choose between aquatic spas to dip into or view a river with some trails that are too difficult to walk on and others that give you some swimming opportunities.
Cozumel
If you want to go fishing like a professional come to this island destination in the Caribbean Sea. You can even visit a pearl farm here.
